ZA NiC was created to provide free domain registration under ZA.NET and ZA.ORG to companies, not-for-profit organisations or private users who cannot afford the fees demanded by some domain name registrars or believe that domain names should be a freely available resource for everyone.
Since we started taking public domain registrations in August 1998 we have seen over 19,000 new registrations and although we have never commercially advertised, we are still seeing more and more people taking up the offer of free domains.

推荐E-mail注册南非za.net和za.org域名，相对而言比网页直接注册申请的审核时间短，成功率较高。
申请之前要做好准备工作：
一、南非人资料：
据说目前申请南非za.net和za.org域名，需要用South Africa（南非）人的地址资料注册，寻找南非人资料的秘技：
先用za.net到Google 上搜索，然后用搜索到的za.net 2级域名到：http://www.za.net/whois.html WHOIS下，您就会查看到己注册好的za.net域名注册资料，然后将域名注册资料复制下来，申请注册时最好不要原样照抄，稍微修改一下通过的概率会更大。
二、域名DNS解析：
注册za.net 和za.org 域名之前要先做好DNS和A记录，申请时必须要以南非人的名义申请，否则不会通过，申请完成后一般要等1个礼拜左右等待审批，审批通过就可以使用了。
三、邮件申请：
将邮件发送到：[email protected] ，发信的时候记得要设置使用纯文本模式来发送邮件，否则用邮件申请100%失败。
